Lost: "D.O.C."

Last night's Lost was another on its road to re-obtaining its former glory. The end left us with another classic Lost twist. The mysterious parachuter told Hurley that the plane for Flight 815 had been found and there were no survivors. At first this sounds like another "Desmond sees the future" sort of plot twists that make me want to scream. Debating the implications of this statement for a few minutes with my sister immediately after the episode lead us quickly to one explanation that fits both with what we know of the others and with the producers repeated claims of non-supernatural explanations for everything (eg, not in purgatory, polar bears are there because of global warming research, etc). The plane and remains that were found were not actually Flight 815. The others seem to have a large financial backing evidenced from their "front" company Mittelos and their ability to go so deep into the backgrounds of all of the people on the plane. I do not think it is a far stretch to believe that if they are willing to hide their identities and the location of the island at all costs.

I'm super excited for tonight's Supernatural episode. Spoiler free is the way to be!
